I thinkwas a wise choice, in fact, not an Ethernet interface, it seems that many players who seem to have more problems playing movies. I have many complaints from people who have not been able to obtain cheaper discs on their players, who had no problems playing on my watch. 12/23/09 Update: I decided to Nb530mgx a true test for any or no doubters Sayers out there. I just bought Terminator 2: Skynet Edition, which is known for not working on new and more expensive, Internet-enabled Blu-ray. Many have said that it is only a Profile 2.0 player, or workthat a code for a profile 1.0 player. The Nb530mgx is a Profile 1.1 player, and it booted and played well. No update firmware or code required. It took a few minutes to process a message that says that they know that I have a profile 2.0, which is not connected to the Internet. I get one, to fully exploit the capabilities, but then load them anyway. Took a minute and completed in 3 triangles on the same screen, and I was in the main menu. I went directly toenhanced version, and started down the game as normal. So that they do not need to spend much for a player of quality. I say again, when this is out there, get it. I bought this Blu-ray player for about 4 months, and I loved every minute of it until today. Today I tried to Inglorious Basterds play and stick to a single loading screen (waiting for so long, up to 20 minutes before I had given up). Figured I needed a firmware upgrade and quickly locate the site for download. The only problem is that the player does not read the disc. I tried 2 DVD-RW, CD-RW and CD-R. All have been a complete loss and ended with a disk read error. IInternet research and found that only works if you use the Open button to turn on the player, is one out of luck …. some places, said the folder containing the file (no sense), but I tried it and it is no copy. All in all, I have lost about 3 hours of my time. I work in IT and electronic gadgets are not enough to fall, a ship, so I'm not inexperienced in dealing with the issue. My advice is to spend a few dollars more on a Blu-ray player is connected to the Internet.Makes firmware updates a breeze. Do not download the zip file on your PC, packing it burining their hard drive only to determine that the player will not read. Just click on the Update button, download directl to the player (you) and you're done. My brother can have this first, get one that really works tomorrow.
